Dear CMS Families and Staff:
First, on behalf of the staff and school community, I'd like to open this month by thanking Jacquie Carter for her tireless work for CMS for the past 7+ years. As many of you know, she is moving back home to Jefferson City to take a position with the State of Missouri. She has been a wonderful teacher and advocate for CMS. Though she'll be missed, we know that she'll remain close to our CMS community.
Next, I wanted to remind families about our scheduling around the winter holidays. We are closed on December 24, December 25, and January 1. Otherwise, we shall remain open. Because many friends are away from school around that time of year, the class-rooms are asking families to indicate whether they plan to attend around those dates. Knowing the plans of our families allows the school to appropriately staff our classrooms. Additionally, it allows us to know if we have space to provide daily
care for school-age alumni. We appreciate your help!
As we always do before the holidays, we're conducting a winter clothing and blankets drive to support McCambridge Center. Children's clothing is particularly welcomed. A bin will be placed in front of the office on Monday, December 9, and we'll collect until Christmas. As always, we appreciate your support!
Finally, some folks have asked about the December meeting of the CMS Board of Directors. Their next scheduled meeting is on Monday, January 27. In December, the Board of Dir- ectors meets informally to evaluate the Head of School.
Wishing the CMS community a happy and safe holiday season,
Dan Johnson Head of School
