 | | August may be hot, but the infant room is full of cool friends!
Last month, Scarlett transitioned over to the toddler room, and although we will miss her, we know she will flourish with her toddler friends. On July 27th, Sydney turned one, and is so close to walking she can taste it! Brooklyn had her half-year birthday and is working on her balancing skills; she will be sitting on her own very soon! Thank you to Sydney and Brooklyn for the special birthday treats! Gabriella is crawling and cruising, and at this rate, she’ll be walking before her first birthday! Dylan is working on rolling between his tummy and back.
We have so many new friends! In early July, Darcy joined us. Darcy has an older brother, Max, in PIII. Miss Whitney and Miss Sydni are both back and that means Whitney’s Oliver and Sydni’s Brody have joined us. And just last week, Caroline, who is the sister of Braden in PI, joined us. At the end of this month, Joe will join us. Joe is the son of Dan Lester, who is a PIII teacher. All the new friends are getting to know one another, and we all are excited to learn and grow together!
In addition to our new infant friends, you may have seen some new teachers in our room as well. Although she’s been with us since last August as a field student and, later as a sub, Miss Megan “officially” became the infant closer at the end of May. She’s loving her time with the babies and considering to make this her career once she graduates in May with her bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Mizzou. Because Miss Megan replaced Miss Sydni as the closer once Brody was born, Miss Sydni is now in the toddler’s room, and loving it! Please stop by next door and say hi; we know she’s missing her babies. A second new face in the infant room, but no stranger to CMS, is Miss Whitney. Before having Oliver, her precious new baby boy, Miss Whitney was the lead teacher to our friends next door in the toddler room. Now, she’s come to be with the babies and loving every minute of it. It’s a big change but she’s adjusting well; before being the lead in toddlers, she use to be a lead in an infant room in St. Louis (her home town). Talk up the new staff and get to know them- they’d sure love to get to know you!
As always, the laundry list is located outside the classroom. If you are unable to perform laundry duty on the assigned date, please let one of infant staff know ASAP to make other arrangements.
We’d like to give a special “shout out” to the Baker family for donating work and equipment! Make it a great month, Infant Room Staff
