| We have been studying fish recently. We have learned a lot about fish: jellyfish are not really fish; fish have eyes, but no eyelids; they are cold blooded; they have ears on the inside of the body; they have nostrils; they have a lateral line and a dorsal fin; they breath with gills; they have a pectoral fin and a tail fin; and they lay eggs. The lateral line is for balance and to help the fish feel and hear. The children have enjoyed learning about fish. Please ask them to tell you about them!
Our next sound is the “G”. Please help your child find something from home that begins with “G”. We do the sound on Wednesday’s at line.
We have a running wish list for PII. The one thing that I would really like for the classroom is paint. I had a professional come in and help pick colors for the classroom walls and would like to get the room painted. We would need donations for paint and then volunteers to do the painting. If you are interested please let me know.
On a related note, May is fast approaching, and parent hours are due at the end of May. We have a parent workday scheduled for May 7th from 9 am to 1 pm. If you cannot make this time please let me know and we can schedule you to come in another time to get those parent hours done. We also will be having graduation on May 27th this year. More information will come as the time approaches.
I want to thank all of you that have been leaving donations for the rabbit food. This really helps offset the cost for us teachers. I am blessed to have so many wonderful families in PII. Thank You.
Thanks from PII!
