Hello PII families! It is getting hot hot hot so we are staying indoors during the afternoon.

We have been studying insects and arachnids, ask your child how many body parts they have and the differences between the two! We are planning a field trip to the Butterfly House in St. Louis on September 17th. We'll leave at 8 and it will be an all-day trip. If you would be able to help drive, please let us know. We will need parent drivers for this trip.

We are moving into the study of reptiles and amphibians! We thank Sara Kirkland for donating our new aquarium, our frogs LOVE it! This new habitat will also be home to our new reptiles (fish!) We bid a fond farewell to Melinda who is going to the island of St. Croix!

Starting on August 20th we will be going back to the Friday Folders. Please remember to sign and return them on Mondays. We will do a letter of the week. We will have a show and share on Wednesdays. The show and share item may begin with the letter of the week sound.
